Public Art Has Come to Basalt!

Public art has arrived in Basalt!

Mōtiō 2.0 by Denver-based artist Wynn Earl Buzzell, Jr. is made up of five colorful sculptures that have been installed in public spaces throughout the town of Basalt.

This is the first public art installation commissioned by the newly formed Basalt Public Arts Commission.

Last year, BPAC made a Colorado-wide “call for entry” inviting artists to apply. Wynn Earl Buzzell Jr. was selected from 49 applications.

June 10, 2017, has been designated as Public Art Day in Basalt, to mark the opening celebration of the program. Activities will include tours, bike decorating, refreshments, and entertainment.

More details about the BPAC grand opening event are online.
